  • Simple guide to Gaelic - handy for interpreting placenames, hill names etc
  • The Munro Show on Youtube - much of the the TV series made in the late 80s/early 90s has been uploaded to Youtube - the hills haven't changed much (if you can see past the garish clothing that was fashionable back then!)
  • Kendal Mintcake - almost pure sugar, a great energy food for taking up the mountains
  • Soreen - another excellent food for the hills, Soreen is a malt fruit loaf with plenty of energy that tastes great
